Application Process Details
Timeline:
We only have 30 spots in our ’24-’25 Workshop U Cohort. The earlier you apply, the higher your chances of grabbing one of these select spots. Apply by May 15th, and we guarantee full review of your application and an answer by June 5th.
Cost:
100% FREE (for the first 25 students accepted). WU has 25 full paid scholarships. The earlier you apply, the more likely you are to get one!
What does the process look like?
Step 1. Complete the online application. The application consists of 5 short-answer writing prompts (under 200 words apiece).
Step 2. A staff member will reach out to you to schedule a 30-min Zoom or phone interview. We’ll ask you a couple of questions that help us learn more about where you’re at and what you are seeking from the program. And, we’ll leave plenty of time for your questions for us so you can understand if WU is the right fit.
Step 3. For those who apply by May 15th, you will hear back from us by June 5th at the latest.

From September 2024 through May 2025 I can commit to being in-person at the Community College of Philadelphia campus (4750 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19139) Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-2pm

Students will earn up to 15 (transferable) college credits upon completion of the program.

Have a creative vision of where you’re going but are running up against barriers that get in the way.
Are curious about college but wanting to test out what that looks like – without the financial risk.
Know you need to further your learning but don't see how traditional college will get you there.
Feel like traditional college or job training is too limiting and want to find other options.
Are looking for structure, routine, and support.
